Fish the fly with a long leader, or if necessary, with a sink tip connector. Make tiny strips to drag it along
the bottom, then hold on because whatever eats it usually isn't small.
Materials
Hook: 1/124 ounce jig hook
Legs: Silver-Black Sillilegs
Body: Vernille in flourescent chartreuse, black, olive or brown
Thread: Color to match the choice of vernille
Tying Instructions
1. Coat the head of the hook with a black lacquer. Give the head a thin coat of polyurethane to protect the
color.
2. Wrap the hook shank with thread and wrap the vernille around the hook shank. Tie the vernille off at the
head.
3. Invert the hook.
4.Cut one Sillileg into four pieces of equal length.
5. Lightly tie the legs to the hook in a figure 8 pattern behind the head making sure they are the same length.
6. Tie off and secure with head cement.
