| I drilled holes through the deck for the perimeter lines and bungie cord. The holes were coated with epoxy prior to threading the perimeter lines and bungie cord through the holes. The fit is tight so little water should leak through the holes. |

| After rough cutting the bottom of the foam to match the contour of the kayak with the saw, a side grinder was used to further shape the foam. The grinder was used to shape the sitting area. I hand sanded this area after grinding. |

| 3" minicell foam was used for the seat. The Ryoba saw easily cut the foam. |

| A backrest was also cut from foam. I covered the seat and backrest with lycra. The lycra was attached with 3M spray adhesive. After testing, I'll permanently attach the seat and backrest with contact cement or use velcro as a non-permanent attachment. |
