Golden Meadow, LA
		John Grantham, Steve Lee and I launched our canoes at the Golden Meadow public boat launch on December 15, 2002.  We caught 20-30 speckled trout within 30 yards of the launch.  A black version of Mike LaFleur's Charlie fished deep produced the most fish.  John and I fished floating lines and Steve fished a sinking line.  Steve caught more fish with the sinking line, but I caught the larger trout on the floating line. After John and I left, Steve caught a few more trout and a couple redfish in the dead end canals around the launch area.
